What’s in my NYC makeup bag

NYC with Wander Beauty

So, today is the day – I arrived in NYC and couldn’t be more excited! It’s my 4th time and it’s always like my first. I am so super happy!

I thought that it would be a great idea to show you what’s in my NYC makeup bag.

The pieces people travel with are the best of the best of the best, so I hope that you find some inspiration and products you’d like to try out too. I am super happy to tell you that this post is in collaboration with Wander Beauty. As they are travel-inspired, luxuries, of high quality and cruelty free I can definitely recommend them – otherwise I would kindly tell the brand that I will not feature them. Trust me =)

So, if you want to see what I took with me to New York, carry on reading!

NYC with Wander Beauty

Primer

One of the most travel friendly primers – Wander Beauty “Rise and Prime Balm and Primer Duo“. It’s just a super convenient product. You have an ultra-hydrating Balm on the one side and the Primer on the other. I just sweep the primer all over my face, but concentrate on my oily T-Zone.

Foundation

It’s easy: My IT Cosmetics “CC Cream” in the shade “Light”. It leaves my skin with a suptle dewy finish without looking or getting greasy. Perfect for my dry skin that lacks moisture. I love it so much that I soon have to buy my second bottle and trust me.. I have never used a foundation up. So this a compliment.

Concealer

The number one in my life is the Tarte “Shape Tape” in the shade “Fair”. It definitely does it’s job without looking too heavy or creasing. It is as good as people tell – it’s true!

Bronzer

Wander Beauty it is! Since I have the “On-the-Glow Bronzer and Illuminator” in the shade “Malibu” in my life I don’t wanna use anything else anymore. I am a very subtle bronzer / contour girl and this fits my needs. It definitely is subtle, but you can go a shade darker. The product blends like a dream and I find that there is no need to set it with a second powder bronzer (which safes space in my makeup bag). Unfortunately the Glow side on this product is too dark for me, but I have found a way to use it: as and eye shadow! Try it out, too!

Setting Powder

There is only one setting powder I use for my undereyes and my T-Zone: Cover FX “Perfect Setting Powder” in the shade “Light”. It is the best. The first and only one that doesn’t dry my skin out and doesn’t look cakey.

Eyeshadow

This is an easy one – the Anastasia Beverly Hills “Modern Rennaissance“. I can create so many looks with this palette: natural, glam,… The best palette I have ever owned and I don’t wanna miss it. Please, pick this palette up if you haven’t, yet.

Eyeliner

Kat Von D “Tattoo Liner” in the shade “Trooper – satin black”. It makes super sharp lines and does a good job. The staying power is good, but it disappears on my eyelids after a long day. Please let me know if you have a recommendation for me.

Mascara

I have two mascaras I use: 1. the L’Oréal “Telescopic” in the shade “Carbon Black” to give my lashes length, 2. Tarte “Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara” in the shade “Black” to give my lashes loads of volume. Best combo ever!

Blush

Again two products I took with me. 1. the Tarte “Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush” in the shade “Paaarty” – it blends perfectly in with my bronzer and is a gorgeous shade for the fall / winter season, 2. the Bite Beauty “Multistick” in the shade “Gelato”. A super easy product that I can quickly blend into the skin, touch up with on the go, use as a lip product,… it is what the name is telling you.. a multi tasking product.

Highlighter

Wander Beauty has a product that gives your skin a subtle, but gorgeous looking glow. Their “Catch the Light Highlighter“, mine is in the shade “Moon”. I use it on my browbones, on the inner corner of my eyes, my cupids bow, my nose tip, my cheeks,.. a super versatile product and easy to use, too.

Brows

As for my brows I am pretty easy, I am more kind of a low maintenance brow gal. So the product that came with me is my Anastasia Beverly Hills “Tinted Brow Gel” in the shade “Granite”. I just brush it a bit through my brows et voila.. done.

Lipstick

I am a trusty user of the DIOR “Lip Tattoo” in the shade “Natural Rosewood”. In the beginning it might look a little bit blotchy, but after a couple of minutes my lips are so stained that I just take the access product off with a makeup wipe or a little bit of water. My lips look super natural, but a little bit more colorful. As well it does not transfer to any glasses etc – you will be a “natural” beauty hihi
